Cullinan Properties Celebrates Multiple Honors at REjournals Commercial Real Estate Awards 

Peoria, Ill. — Cullinan Properties is proud to celebrate a remarkable showing at the 2026 REjournals Commercial Real Estate Awards, with projects and partnerships receiving recognition across multiple categories, including a winning entry and three finalist honors that highlight the company’s commitment to transformative development and community partnerships.

Among the honors, the City of Joliet was named City/County of the Year, recognizing the city’s leadership, vision and collaborative approach to economic development. Cullinan Properties partnered with the City of Joliet on the award submission, which highlighted the unprecedented momentum occurring throughout the community, including the continued growth of Rock Run Collection.

In addition to the winning recognition, three Cullinan-related projects were named finalists:

• City of Pekin – Finalist, City/County of the Year
• East Court Village in Pekin – Finalist, Redevelopment of the Year
• The View at Rock Run Collection in Joliet – Finalist, Multifamily Development of the Year

The recognitions reflect the strength of public-private partnerships and the impact of thoughtful development in creating opportunities for residents, businesses and communities.

The City of Joliet’s award comes during a period of historic growth fueled by transformative investments including Rock Run Collection, the new Hollywood Casino Joliet, expanding residential development, revitalization of downtown including the new City Square, and significant infrastructure improvements that continue to position the community as one of the Midwest’s most dynamic destinations for investment and growth.

In Pekin, East Court Village was recognized as a finalist for Redevelopment of the Year, highlighting the successful revitalization of a former underperforming retail property into a thriving community destination. The redevelopment preserved and enhanced an important commercial corridor while attracting new investment, creating jobs and expanding access to retail, services and amenities for area residents. The project demonstrates how strategic reinvestment can strengthen existing assets and generate lasting economic impact for a community.

The View at Rock Run Collection earned finalist honors in the Multifamily Development of the Year category. Developed in partnership with PREMIER Design + Build Group and Humphreys & Partners Architects, the luxury residential community is helping meet growing housing demand while serving as a foundational component of the broader Rock Run Collection mixed-use development.
