Hot on the gaucho-clad heels of the closing of Bacana Brasil in Chesterfield Plaza, Tucanos Brazilian Grill will soon offer rodizio-service churrascaria (big slabs of Brazilian-barbecued meat carved tableside) at the Streets of St. Charles, the new mixed-use development on the site of the old Noah\’s Ark at Interstate 70 and Fifth Street.
Also coming to the development is Prasino, an \”eco-chic\” contemporary American restaurant. Tucanos and Prasino are both mini-chains: Tucanos, based in suburban Denver, has five locations in Utah, Colorado, Idaho and New Mexico; Prasino has two Chicago-area restaurants. The above links have examples of the menus of each restaurant.
The latest local branch of Five Guys Burgers and Fries is also in the development and scheduled to open at the end of July or beginning of August.
Neither Tuscanos\’ nor Prasino\’s interior is built out yet; we have calls in to representatives of the restaurants and developers for further information on projected opening dates and will update when they reply.
