ROCK RUN CROSSINGS BREAKS GROUND WITH NEWS OF FIRST TENANT
(Peoria, IL – March 22, 2019) – Cullinan Properties, Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony today for Rock Run Crossings, a 265-acre super-regional development located at the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Interstates 55 and 80 in Joliet, IL. Cullinan Properties’ Founding Partner and Chairman Diane Cullinan Oberhelman, confirmed that Regal is among the first anchors announced at Rock Run Crossings.
The event was attended by Cullinan Properties representatives and City of Joliet officials, as well as area and local business leaders. Cullinan Properties will continue initial clearing activities on the Rock Run Crossings site, including the demolition of the vacated house and barn structures. Construction at the site will begin in late Spring.
Regal was announced as one of the first tenants to commit to Rock Run Crossings. Regal is a leading motion picture exhibitor operating one of the largest theatre companies in the United States, and is part of the Cineworld Group, the second largest motion picture exhibitor in the world.

The 70,000+ SF Regal Cinema will contain 16 screens and some of the newest cinema technologies available, including 4DX and ScreenX theatre and entertainment experiences. 4DX auditoriums stimulate all five senses by utilizing high-tech motion seats and special effects (including wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water rain and scents) in synchrony with the action on screen to create an exhilarating cinematic experience. ScreenX is a multi-projection immersive experience that creates 270-degree viewing by expanding the scene onto the theatre’s side walls, transforming the film into an immersive and realistic first-hand experience.
