Quincy Mall Rebrands to Quincy Town Center

(Quincy, IL – March 3, 2021) – Cullinan Properties, Ltd., owner and manager of Quincy Mall, today announced a rebrand of the Quincy, IL property to Quincy Town Center. The new identity reflects a fresh image and direction for the next chapter of the mixed-use property, one that embraces Quincy Medical Group, Slumberland and VIP Cinemas as anchors of the center and allows for growth of a broad mix of quality local and national tenants and user types, in addition to quality choices for shopping and dining.

“Due to a changing retail environment and shifting consumer habits, malls as we once knew them are undergoing a transformation throughout the U.S.,” stated Sean Garrett, President of Acquisitions and Director of Community Relations for Cullinan Properties, Ltd.   “Today, mixed-use developments, in lieu of traditional shopping centers, offer consumers more variety and convenience by blending places to shop, dine, work, live and gather – all in a walkable environment.  The name Quincy Town Center better reflects how the property has already started to evolve and will continue to do so,” stated Garrett.

The new identity also signifies Cullinan Properties’ commitment for Quincy Town Center to continue serving as a community gathering place and host site for regular events and happenings nearly 200 days out of the year. The center also provides several amenities such as the Community Room, Study Hall and Pepsi Play Area.

Vice President and Director of Leasing for Cullinan Properties, Ltd., Kathleen Brill, stated that while the company is seeking uses such as office, hotel, multi-family and various services to add to the tenant mix at Quincy Town Center, pursuing retail tenants remains an importance.  Brill feels the new name and image will positively affect leasing efforts at the property.

“Quincy Town Center offers quality medical care from excellent providers with the added convenience of retail, services, family entertainment and terrific dining options – all in one, safe, climate-controlled spot for year-round enjoyment,” said Mike Jenkins, Quincy Town Center Property Manager. “This property has been a mainstay in the community for more than 40 years, and while it has changed, customers will experience convenience, variety under one roof, shopping, dining, a community-centered atmosphere, medical services, entertainment, and some degree of nostalgia.  I think it has an exciting future ahead,” said Jenkins.

Signage bearing the Quincy Mall name is being updated to reflect the new Quincy Town Center name.
