CEMCON, Ltd & TranSystems Engaged for Civil Engineering Services for Rock Run Crossings
(Peoria, IL – August 19, 2019) – Cullinan Properties, Ltd, developer of the 265-acre Rock Run Crossings super regional mixed-use development at the northeast quadrant of I-55 and I-80 in Joliet, IL, has engaged CEMCON, Ltd. and TranSystems for Civil Engineering Services on the site, which is well underway. This comes on the heels of site clearing that included tree and rubbish removal, in addition to the demolition and removal of old homes.
In addition to the on-site topographical survey work and detention analysis, CEMCON, Ltd. and TranSystems are advancing with the earthwork, site utility and roadway network engineering related activities for the project, including design activities for the new Regal Cinemas’ state-of-the-art theater at the site.
Regal Cinemas was announced in March as an entertainment anchor at Rock Run Crossings. The 70,000 square foot theater will have the newest cinema technology available, creating an immersive, multi-sensory, 270-degree viewing experience for theater-goers.
“Rock Run Crossings will include additional entertainment users to complement Regal Cinemas, as well as office, medical, retail, restaurant, hospitality and multi-family components. The interest in this premier highway frontage location has been phenomenal,” stated Kathleen Brill, Cullinan Properties, VP and Director of Leasing. “We’re very excited about the tenants that have been proactively seeking us since the announcement of Regal, including several groups that are competing for the Marriott and Hilton flags. We have some very exciting tenants and mixed-use groups we are currently finalizing many signed contracts with that will be tremendous additions to the Rock Run Crossings line-up and the community.
