THE LEVEE DISTRICT AND EASTPORT PLAZA RESTAURANTS STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS
(Peoria, IL – March 16, 2020) – With the recent announcement by Governor Pritzker to temporarily close Illinois restaurants and bars to on-premise dining for the welfare and protection of the state’s residents, Cullinan Properties, Ltd. is taking proactive steps at The Levee District and EastPort Plaza in East Peoria to support its restaurants during this unprecedented time. Other Cullinan Properties locations throughout the U.S. will be included as needed.
Cullinan is assisting tenants with additional signage and advertising that promote curbside services, as well as erecting a tent at The Levee District that can serve as a pickup point. Levee District restaurant representatives have stated that they are more than happy to run food orders out to customers’ vehicles. EastPort restaurants, Basta and The Galley, have echoed those same sentiments. Both restaurants regularly prepare carryout meals for customers and are expecting an increase in those orders over the next couple of weeks.
“We encourage folks to actively support our restaurant community by placing to-go orders during the closure. Orders aren’t limited to just quick service restaurants with drive up windows, but are also available at sit down dining establishments and upscale restaurants via curbside pickup points,” stated Diane Oberhelman, Chairman and Founding Partner of Cullinan Properties, Ltd. “We can continue to patronize restaurants, albeit in this somewhat limited fashion, during this time that our local businesses need us the most.”

Retail stores at The Levee District remain open and are operating as usual.
